Document Management

Marshal includes a comprehensive system for tracking any type of electronic document including word processing documents, spreadsheets, PDF’s, scanned documents or any other type of electronic document. Documents can be linked to file folders, people, companies, and any other type of record in Marshal. A single document can be linked to multiple items, making it much easier to retrieve when needed.

Time Tracking

Marshal has two modules for tracking time. The Time Tracker provides a simple interface for tracking and reporting on employee hours taken for vacation, sick, personal, etc. The Time Center is a full featured system that includes:

  • Automatic tracking using on-screen start and stop buttons
  • Manual time entry
  • Time records can be allocated by percentages to multiple business units or clients using the percentages assigned to each unit or client

Project Management

The Marshal File Center and Activity Center provide a high level interface for managing projects. Each File and Project can be assigned to a team. Access to the File or Project and all related records can be left public, or restricted to only the members of the File or Project team. It also allows users to track File or Project specific:

  • To Do Lists
  • Events
  • Notes, Meetings, Phone Calls
  • Developments for executive summary reporting

Database Change History

Marshal can maintain a full audit trail of all the changes made in any area of the database. Not only does the system track who does what and when, but it keeps a full history of all the values that have ever been assigned or changed in each record. This makes all the changes in the database as transparent as possible, and allows for analysis of user adoption and activity.

Privilege System

The Privilege System offers the ability to restrict access to any and all features or information in Marshal.

  • Customizable Privilege Groups
  • Access to features and areas of the system can be limited to privilege groups
  • Access to records can be limited to one or more privilege groups or individual users
